What is the Spooky Cocoon?
Halloween has always been the night the veil grows thin. For centuries, people lit candles for those who came before them and turned toward what usually stays hidden. The Spooky Cocoon brings that old ritual into a candlelit studio in DUMBO.
Once a year, our signature Cocoon goes dark. Cacao infused with blue lotus, your own aerial silk cocoon, a shamanic oracle card drawn just for you, and a live soundscape of synthesizers and gong by Johann (@alternabeat) that you'll feel as much as hear. One night, one session, 8 guests, all dressed in black.
Why blue lotus?
Blue lotus was the sacred flower of ancient Egypt, painted on temple walls and steeped for its gentle, dreamy calm. We blend it right into your cacao: the cacao opens the heart, the lotus softens the mind, and together they carry you into a deeper, more dreamlike rest. A fitting flower for a night that celebrates the space between worlds.
Why synthesizers and gong?
For this edition, Johann layers synthesizers and a gong into his acoustic instruments: deep bass tones you feel in your body, long evolving textures, and gong waves that wash through the whole room. Inside the silk, it feels like floating through a dark, starry dream.
The Night
Arrive in black
Step out of the city and into a candlelit studio. Blue lotus cacao is poured, then a guided meditation and a shamanic oracle card drawn just for you.
Into the cocoon
Held in aerial silk, your body is fully supported, so your nervous system can finally let go.
Synths and gong
Deep bass, evolving textures and gong waves, played live and shaped to the room. Then you return, softer, and meet the people beside you.

For the past seven years, Sasha has been creating experiences that blend ceremonial cacao, authentic connection, and modern nervous system practices.
Inspired by years living in Guatemala and Costa Rica and trained in Human Design, Authentic Relating, somatic facilitation, and transformational coaching, she creates spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience genuine human connection.
Through SUGARHAUS, Sasha is reimagining wellness as something both deeply meaningful and beautifully designed—bringing ancient rituals into modern life through experiences that feel intentional, elegant, and profoundly restorative.
